In THE SCARECROW, a farmhand (Keaton) lives in a simple cottage where numerous mechanical devices make life easier. SHERLOCK JR. features him as a movie projectionist who actually wants to be a detective. When he falls asleep in the theater, he dreams that he is rescuing his sweetheart’s family from a criminal—a mission that, of course, is fraught with countless complications.
